Job Title: Trade Reconciliation Engineer/Specialist (Remote/Hybrid- Report to an office 2-3 times a month in tandem with your team or customer meeting requirements)

Overview:
FIA Tech is seeking a skilled trade matching engineer/specialist to join our dynamic matching team, contributing to the development of high performance trade and allocation matching solutions within the financial sector/ETD (Exchange Traded Derivatives) space.
Responsibilities:
Work with clients to implement n-way trade matching between various trade data sources.
Create reporting and analytics on matching results to assist clients and counterparties in improving trade data feed quality and accuracy
Analyze post-trade data sources and matching results to improve FIA Tech matching algorithms.
Use tools, analytics and scripting to identify differences in trade populations and minimize false breaks/matches
Prototype matching algorithms and data transformations to assist in customer implementations and product design using various tools (Python, ETL tools, etc.)
Assist product team in design of trade matching services, reports and user interfaces based on customer requirements
Using ETL tools, scripting or other data processing tools, implement data validation checks and quality controls to build data pipelines and validate data.
Develop and maintain data models and databases to support trade matching and analytics of trade populations as needed in Postgres, MongoDB, Redis or other data structures as required.
Qualifications:
Experience in trade, position or allocation matching/reconciliations in equities, futures, fixed income or similar asset class(es)
Experience in real-time, low latency matching of trades at high volume/velocity for trading teams, operations teams or risk management.
Technical Skills:
Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in financial technology, such as Python, C++, or other relevant languages.
Experience with Kafka, Postgres a plus
Database Management:
Strong skills in database management, data modeling, and SQL. Knowledge of database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle is valuable.
Reconciliation Tools:
Familiarity with reconciliation tools and platforms commonly used in the finance industry (Duco, Intellimatch, TLM, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for identifying and resolving discrepancies in trade data. The ability to analyze complex financial data and troubleshoot issues is critical.
Experience in integrating systems with various trading platforms, databases, and external data sources. Knowledge of financial APIs and protocols is valuable.
Salary Range: 155-165K compensation will be commensurate with skill/experience, Bonus Eligible
